Louisville Children Photographer | Nolan turns One!

Can I tell you how much I LOVE when a session gets creative and it wasn't even MY idea?

Before the session, during our consultation convos, I ask a few questions to try and get an idea of what you are wanting to get from this session, like:

What are you planning to do with these photos?
Do you have any props or location in mind?
Do you like black & whites? etc.
The answers to these questions better help me get an idea of what you want to get out of your session as well as clients on pinterest, I will tell them to make sure they pin some photos that interest them or that they would like to try to recreate. That way I will be taking the information your giving me, coming up with my own ideas AND using the ideas you present as well

In my personal opinion, I think a collaboration between photographer and client make the absolute best sessions.

Now there are some photogs out there that are different and prefer that THEY call all the shots because they are the photographer and they know whats best, that all may be true but my concern is YOU, the client, and that you get what you want.

Sometimes the clients idea doesn't work and that's ok I will tell them the reasons WHY it won't work and continue on but it was a good thought and sometimes it triggers an alternative option.

Many people don't want that pressure and feel like that's why I was hired to begin with (ALSO TRUE), which is perfectly fine but others will take it and run with it, I absolutely LOVE when that happens.

If you have an idea, PLEASE bring it up, no matter how silly you think it might be, PLEASE mention it... because it could be the next awesome 16x20 canvas hanging on your wall!

Mom brought all these adorable props to this session. I was literally like a kid in a candy shop as she was pulling out balloons, a wooden high chair, a toy wagon, even a CAKE! Oh i was so excited, I couldn't wait to get my hands on these items and the result of our collaboration?

i think it turned out pretty awesome, don't you?
